And so, the preparations begin for Stratford Fringe 2012 .

As the website is being re-designed immediately after Fringe 2012, and is audibly groaning under the weight of listings, we have devised the following cunning plan to help you find what you might be after on the day to day guide more quickly. There are also a couple of useful summary pages too.

SHORT PLAY COMPETITION – ‘THE STRANGER’

Wow – what a response!! We’ve had over 120 entries from all over the world. They have all been read and the finalists have been selected to go through to be performed at the final on Wednesday 6th June at The Attic, Cox’s Yard.  To see a list of the finalists whose works will be performed click here.

Marstons EPA Band Competition: Play Live At The Stratford Fringe Festival, 2012

Entry into The Marston’s EPA Stratford Fringe Band Competition is now closed! We’re now organising the finalists gig here at the fringe. Plus, everyone who votes for their favourite entrant could win a luxury weekend in Stratford upon Avon. For information click here.

Street Entertainers!!

You are welcome!

If you are a street entertainer and would like to come to the town during the Fringe this year, or at any point – you are more than welcome. You’ll find Stratford a welcoming place for performers.

You can start busking in the town – no license is needed. Just follow the map and the code! There are times during the year when the busking is timetabled – mainly every weekend in July, August and September.

For the remainder of the year, and on weekdays all year you only need the code and the map. Here’s the Street Entertainment Map.
